Training Center:  We have developed the Lighthouse Training Center, a multi-faceted training institution where we seek to prepare individuals for the work of the Kingdom of God. It is at the Lighthouse Training Center where we have the Bible School and the Missions School. We are doing our part in preparing young Nicaraguans to become missionaries to their own people and throughout Latin America. We are also in the process of developing an internship program for young people to experience short-term missions work. We have developed a Leadership School which provides leadership courses to our pastors and church leaders. We have also developed several different marriage and family seminars that are held throughout the year.

Feeding Center:  One of the churches we started has implemented a feeding program for the children of the community. The church is located in one of the poorest “barrios” of Managua and therefore many of the kids do not get at least one healthy meal a day. This feeding center becomes a wonderful way to reach out to some of the neediest families while at the same time demonstrating the love of God.

Youth and University Ministry:  We are also involved in campus ministry. Several years ago we helped start Chi-Alpha, a university discipleship ministry. Chi-Alpha is currently active in five of the universities across Nicaragua.

Evangelism and Discipleship:  One of the major aspects of ministry of the Lighthouse Training Center is evangelism and discipleship. We work hard to present the Gospel to those who have not heard and give an adequate representation of the message of Christ. Then we work hard to disciple those individuals so that they may grow and mature in their walk with God.

Radio Ministry:  Two years ago I was asked to host a nation-wide radio program called “Faro Del Espíritu” (Light Of The Spirit). It is a thirty minute Bible teaching on the most listened to radio station in Managua. We take a certain topic and develop a series of studies as we walk through the Scriptures. The program is heard by hundreds of thousands of people every day. “Faro Del Espíritu” is currently heard on five radio stations throughout the country!

Prison Ministry:  We have also been involved in prison ministry. We helped start a ministry that currently goes once a week to the maximum security prison outside Managua. The ministry is present in three different prisons throughout Nicaragua.

Medical Missions & Rehab Ministry:  The Lighthouse Training Center also has as one of its central ministries medical and rehab outreach. We have partnered with two different ministries to provide a fully-functioning medical clinic on site and a separate “mobile” clinic that travels throughout the country. There are thousands upon thousands of people in Nicaragua who cannot afford medical attention. These two clinics are helping people meet some of their physical needs as we present the Gospel to meet their greatest need; their spiritual need.
